Chocolate brownie


This decadent chocolate brownie will tempt all of the chocolate lovers in your house

Shopping list:

  • 375grams unsalted butter
  • 375 grams 70% cocoa dark chocolate
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 500grams caster sugar
  • 225 grams plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300grams chopped walnuts

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 180C, then line a flat baking tray with baking paper.

  • Step 2

    Melt the chocolate and butter together in a large heavy based saucepan.

  • Step 3

    In a bowl bet the eggs with the sugar and vanilla

  • Step 4

    When the chocolate has melted, let it cool a bit before beating in the eggs and sugar mixture, and then the nuts and flour.

  • Step 5

    Beat to combine and then scrape out of the saucepan into a lined brown pan. Bake for about 25 minutes.

  • Step 6

    When it’s ready, the top should be dried to a pale brown speckle, but the middle still dark, dense and gooey.

  • Step 7

    Keep checking the brownies as they cook, remember that they will continue to cook as they cool.
