DONNA MCMASTER
Chair of the Board
Donna is an experienced Senior Executive with 35 years + experience. Having spent many of these years at senior, strategic levels within public & private retail companies, Donna has broad commercial experience with proven ability to contribute to Organisations from Retail to Manufacturing, Marketing to Property and the NFP sector.
She winner of the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Award which complements an Executive MBA at the University of Virginia, USA and Strategic Planning and Leadership programmes at Monash and Deakin Universities in Victoria. Donna is a Graduate & current Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is also a Non-Executive Director and Board Advisor of four Boards, serving also as Chair and Member of multiple Board Committees.
Donna is currently a Non-Executive Director with Gale Pacific Ltd, a global manufacturing company listed on the ASX. She is also a Member of the Nomination Committee and a Non-Executive Director with YMCA Services Pty Ltd where she is also Deputy Chair and Chair of the Governance and HR Committee.
Donna has recently joined the Board of Leading Edge Retail (Riverwise Pty Ltd) as a Board Advisor.
Donna was first appointed to the Board of Dandenong Market Pty Ltd in May 2017 and was appointed Chair of the Board in March 2021.
JIM COOPER
Chair of Audit and Risk Management Committee
Jim is an experienced Managing Director and CEO, and has managed diverse businesses in infrastructure, ports, supply chain, agriculture and life sciences. His experience in infrastructure and supply chain comes from thirteen years managing privatised shipping ports in Portland and Melbourne.
He was most recently Managing Director of Terragen, an agricultural biotechnology company, listed on the ASX.
Jim commenced his working life in a 1st tier law firm and progressed to a career as in-house counsel for three ASX-100 corporations, before moving into business leadership roles.
He has policy experience with 6 years as a Board member of Ports Australia, and he has been a member of various State Government committees and advisory boards.
Jim was appointed to the Board of Dandenong Market Pty Ltd in February 2024 and also to the position of Chair of the Board Audit and Risk Committee.
JEROME GAUDER
Director of the Company
Jerome has a deep connection to the City of Greater Dandenong and grew up in Noble Park North. An active member of sporting clubs in the area for many years, Jerome is a Life Member & Secretary of the Keysborough Cricket Club.
Jerome is a career retailer with multiple executive roles in Australia and New Zealand. Jerome has worked at iconic brands such as Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and Red Group Retail.
With expertise in Store Operations, Marketing, Property and People his passion lies in small and emerging retail, as well as markets. Jerome is currently helping small businesses and not for profit organisations grow through his coaching business Hangar18.
Jerome was appointed to the Board of Dandenong Market Pty Ltd in February 2021.
CHAD HERMSEN
Director of the Company
Chad is a multi-sector property expert. He has held roles in the finance, media, leisure and entertainment industries and has spent the past two decades driven by his passion for the retail industry.
Chad started his career at Woolworths and Coca-Cola. As the Portfolio General Manager Leasing, Chad leads the strategic development and operational management for leasing across Victoria and Western Australia for QIC Global Real Estate, one of Australia’s leading retail investors with over $20BN of assets under management.
Chad leverages more than 14 years of retail property expertise for both private and listed companies across the Middle East and Australia. He has championed the development of relevant customer-driven brand mix outcomes for several major Australian & Middle Eastern Shopping Centre’s to the value of over $4bn of development including investment at Chadstone, Melbourne Emporium, Bahrain City Centre and most recently Watergardens.
With an MBA from the University of South Australia and a full Real Estate Agent license in multiple states, Chad is also a current Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chad was first appointed to the Board of Dandenong Market Pty Ltd in March 2021.
