Tartare sauce

Fresh and home made, a perfect partner for fish & chips.

Shopping list:

  • 2 whole eggs
  • 60 ml white vinegar
  • 200 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 small Spanish onion, finely diced
  • 4 gherkins, finely diced
  • 50 grams capers, finely diced
  • Zest & juice of one lemon
  • ¼ bunch finely chopped flat leaf parsley
  • Cracked black pepper

Method:

  1. Blend the whole eggs with the vinegar in a food processor, then slowly add the oil until it has emulsified and thickened.
  2. Pour the mixture into a bowl, then add the chopped ingredients. Season with black pepper and zest & juice of one lemon.
  3. Serve on the side of your favourite fish & chips!!
