The best winter seafood

Do you love seafood but usually only eat it during the summer months?

Seafood is actually best in winter, cold waters produce the best scallops, oysters, stripey trumpeter, king fish, ocean trout and mussels.

The best seafood is in abundance during the winter months with our favourite fish and shell fish booming in cold water. Better still it also means seafood be better priced, fresh and local, giving you more reason to enjoy seafood during winter.

Seafood is super healthy and can help keep you feeling and looking great during the colder months.

Most fish and shellfish, scallops being a good winter choice, are high in vitamins and minerals like selenium, vitamin B12, niacin, iron and zinc.

The selenium found in seafood is a great antioxidant that can help arthritis and give you glowing skin.

Vitamin B12 also found in seafood can help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and delay memory loss.

Iron rich oysters are great for shiny, healthy thick hair, whilst the zinc is great for beautiful skin and reducing the risk of macular degeneration.
