Moving to Australia more than five years ago from Afghanistan to live a better life with his family, Salyed began looking for work in the community of Dandenong.
Salyed loved visiting Dandenong Market when he worked at Target at Dandenong Plaza. Salyed was a regular Market shopper, often interacting with the multicultural community and befriending many of the traders. One of his favourite traders was the owner of Dandy Rugs and Furniture. Salyed quickly became interested in the business which sold beautiful rugs and exotic goods.
When an opportunity eventually arose to buy the shop from his friend, Salyed knew it would lead to great success.
Boasting a loyal and strong customer base, Salyed prides his Dandy Rugs and Furniture success on good customer service skills. Salyed enjoys meeting people, especially the diverse multicultural mix of the Market. Salyed speaks many languages which allows him to speak to many customers in their native tongue. Salyed likes making his customers happy, providing a lovely, comfortable experience for them when they visit his shop.
