Current restrictions
Dandenong Market remains open to the community, providing fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, deli, pantry and grocery items as well as baked goods during the COVID-19 pandemic. All ready-to-eat traders, cafes and restaurants are open for both takeaway and seated service.
All Bazaar traders, florists, nurseries, pet shops, newsagents and key cutters are also open, ready to welcome you.
The health and safety of our customers remain our top priority. As winter approaches, flu season arrives and COVID-19 continues to be a concern, we have taken all precautions to ensure you are well looked after on your next visit to the Market.
Masks are no longer mandatory, nor are check-ins with QR codes nor density quotients.
To help everyone comply with physical distancing, foot traffic is monitored hourly and increased security patrols encourage customers to comply. We have overhead announcements reminding customers to respect the rules and each other.
Some traders prefer contactless payment (pay wave) over cash and other payment options due to COVID-19.
Many of our traders use ticketing systems to allow customers to maintain a safe distance while serving them in order.
Please respect the personal space of others and practice good hygiene by washing hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds.
Feel free to use one of our many sanitising stations to clean your hands before and after handling produce and/or eating.
Stay safe and thank you for continuing to support small business.
