Dandenong Market and City of Greater Dandenong provide rent relief for traders
As a result of the COVID-19 situation and the challenges it brings, Dandenong Market and the City of Greater Dandenong announces that they will support Market traders with 100% rent relief for an initial period of three months from tomorrow (Wednesday 1 April 2020).
Dandenong Market is an essential service to its community and each passing day brings new developments for a business as complex as a market which welcomes 5.6 million visitors every year. However, our top priority remains the health and wellbeing of our customers and our traders.
Dandenong Market has supported the community through the good and tough times for 154 years. We need to ensure our traders can return to business as usual as quickly as possible when that time comes.
Dandenong Market is taking every precaution to ensure the Market remains safe and welcoming for its visitors and traders during this time. This includes enforcing social distancing regulations, maintaining a strict cleaning regime and promoting regular personal hygiene.
Dandenong Market is open Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 7am-4pm and on Sundays 9am-4pm.
Above all, we thank our customers for continuing to support our fresh produce small businesses during these difficult and uncertain times.
