Mita Abedy started her hairdressing career in Iran. Lover of style, Mita followed in the career footsteps of both her mum and brother. Her mother owned a salon in Iran and before coming to Australia eight years ago, Mita spent 17 years in the hairdressing business.
When Mita and her husband decided to move to Australia with their children for work, Mita began looking for ways to become requalified. So, Mita volunteered at a hair salon in Chadstone before receiving Australian qualifications.
Before coming to Dandenong Market, Mita worked in various salons in Glen Waverley, Oakleigh and the city. It was a friend who suggested Mita run her own hairdressing business and Dandenong Market provided a wonderful opportunity. Mita and her husband bought and renovated a caravan to use as their shop and have since built Smile Cut, a very successful business at Dandenong Market.
Mita’s professionalism, friendliness, and pride in her business keeps customers coming back. Her customer base is not only local shoppers at the Market but extends to Smile Cut lovers from Phillip Island and Gippsland. Some of Dandenong Market Management also pop in for a new do.
Mita loves the warmth of the market and the customers who are close to her customs. She believes that everyone is special and, even with her low prices, they still deserve top dollar treatment. Her products are of the highest quality and she prides herself on giving back to her local community, all with a beaming unforgettable smile.
