Dandenong Market Chair Julie Busch was named Corporate Citizen of the Year at the City of Greater Dandenong‘s Australia Day celebrations over the weekend.

The community celebrated Ms Busch for her significant service, particularly her tireless work as Chair and Non-Executive Director at Dandenong Market for more than seven years. City of Greater Dandenong Mayor Jim Memeti presented Julie with her award.

In a career spanning more than three decades, Ms Busch championed the need to strengthen diverse communities. She promotes inclusion through numerous paid and voluntary roles. She uses her platform to consistently reach out to positively impact others.

This is a well deserved honour. We’re proud to recognise Ms Busch’s outstanding contribution to Dandenong Market, both as Chair and a valued weekly customer.

“She is a passionate believer in market shopping and its place as the heart and soul of a community,” Ms Jennifer Hibbs, Dandenong Market’s General Manager said. “Dandenong Market is incredibly proud of Ms Busch’s tremendous contribution.”
