The entertainment is only the beginning!

At Dandenong Market, we take our food seriously, and our Eid al-Fitr event will not disappoint. You will be spoilt for choice with our smorgasbord of halal food from our talented hawker traders. From mouth-watering falafel made with ground chickpeas and spices to freshly made Gozleme stuffed with a variety of delicious fillings like spinach, cheese and lamb, we have something for every palate. 🧆

And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t miss out on our desserts during this festival of sweets!

Yes we will have knafeh! How could we not?

Indulge in the heavenly taste of our baklava, courtesy of many middle eastern countries including Turkey, Lebanon, Bosnia and more. The sweet and flaky pastry is made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and honey or syrup. Sink your teeth into the perfect blend of crunchy and gooey, as the delicate pastry melts in your mouth with every bite.

Still hungry? The traditional Sheer Kurma dessert is a must-try. Made with premium ingredients and infused with fragrant cardamom and saffron, this Middle Eastern and South Asian dessert is a creamy blend of vermicelli, dates, nuts, and milk that will transport you to the vibrant and flavourful world of the Middle East. Taking your taste buds on a nostalgic and heart-warming journey, with a sweet and nutty flavour, every mouthful is a true reflection of its rich cultural heritage. Dandenong Market is well known and respected for sharing culture and keeping traditions alive.

Whether you’re a foodie, a culture buff, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, be sure to mark your calendars and come join us!
