This popular Bosnian business whips up fresh burek each Market day. Fillings include cheese, meat or cheese and spinach. The cheese is creamy and mild and the spinach is lightly cooked, retaining its brilliant green. The pastry, painted with oil between layers prior to baking, is golden and crunchy.
Bureks can be purchased and frozen for parties, family gatherings or simply to be kept as leftovers.
Dandy Burek is open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7am and Sundays from 9am.
