With decades of culinary expertise, chef Tim Hollands & cook Leana Nguyen will guide you through the aromatic world of Chinese cuisine during this 3.5-hour experience.

First, explore the Market’s seasonal produce – eggplants, green beans, ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, and farm-fresh eggs – alongside essential aromatics like garlic, ginger, spring onions, chilies, and coriander. Then, dive into a live cooking demonstration where you’ll learn the art of hand-pulling noodles and balancing the flavours of soy sauce, sesame oil, Shaoxing wine, oyster sauce, and Sichuan peppercorn.

Your experience then concludes with the best part of any cooking class – a shared feast of your creations!

Learn to make and hand-pull your own noodles from scratch, paired with spicy, nutty sesame, and tangy soy-vinegar sauces.

Steamed Eggplant with Soy-Garlic Vinaigrette
Silky steamed eggplant dressed in a fragrant garlic ginger, soy and sesame vinaigrette.

Tomato & Egg Stir-Fry
A comforting, colourful dish of soft scrambled eggs and juicy tomatoes, simple, quick, and deeply nostalgic for many Chinese homes.

Sichuan-Style Green Beans
Crisp-fried beans tossed with garlic, chilli, and Sichuan pepper corns.

Cucumber Salad with Garlic & Black Vinegar
Smashed cucumbers tossed in garlic, black vinegar, and sesame oil. A cool, refreshing side that balances the meal.

Parking: A complimentary parking ticket is included in the tour price and will be emailed to you ahead of time for printing. If you are unable to print the ticket, please arrive athe Management Office (40 Cleeland Steet, Dandenong) 15 minutes early to receive your parking ticket.

Cancellation Policy: Bookings may be modified or refunded up to 7 days prior to the tour. After this period, changes and refunds are not possible. If you need to cancel, we kindly request you email your notice to [email protected] so we may have an opportunity to refill the space. Please note that only one date change is permitted per booking.
