Across three festive days from Friday 4 December to Sunday 6 December 2026, we’re throwing a community celebration. Packed with late-night shopping, family-friendly entertainment, Christmas activities, food, drinks and festive surprises. Whether you’re searching for unique Christmas gifts, planning a family day out in Melbourne’s south-east, or looking for a fun holiday event to enjoy with friends, Market Hall is the place to be.

What’s On Friday

The festivities begin on Friday 4 December, with Market Hall and Market Square open until 8pm, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a rare evening of shopping and dining across both precincts. Explore the newly renovated space, discover local small businesses, browse Christmas gift ideas and soak up the vibrant atmosphere with a live DJ, roving Christmas characters and family entertainment throughout the day and night.

There’s plenty of free fun to enjoy, including:

• Free coffee and breakfast treats from 9am – 11am (while stocks last)
• Free personalised bauble station* from 10am – 1pm and 4pm – 7pm (while stocks last)
• Free face painting from 3pm – 7pm
• Free festive mocktails from 4pm – 8pm
• Free Market Hall gift bags^ with spend of $20 or more in Market Hall (while stocks last)

Plus, Market Square’s food traders will be serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner until 8pm, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy a full day of shopping and dining.

What’s On Saturday & Sunday

The festive celebrations continue across the weekend with roving Christmas characters and free Santa photos from 10am – 2pm on Saturday 5 December and Sunday 6 December. Families can receive a complimentary digital photo, as well as a take home printed keepsake.

As Santa photos are free, please allow time for queuing. Queue may close before 2pm.
