Sustainability Festival

The City of Greater Dandenong’s Sustainability Festival is returning to Dandenong Market Sunday 7 April.

This free event is a fun-filled day with live performances and activities for all ages! Families can once again expect to receive tips on how to save money and the planet. Enjoy turning trash into treasure as well as healthy cooking demonstrations.

Delight in live music and kids performances then pedal power your way to a free smoothie. Follow Dr Popoff through a caravan of guts to discover what is making Gutzy’s tummy so sore.

Ride your bike and get it pimped out for free! Each person who rides to the Festival will receive a free bike service and full bike pimping.

This year the Festival is all about reducing waste, especially single-use plastics. The first 100 people to bring their reusable cup to the Market Tavern will receive a free small hot drink. Everyone who brings along their reusable shopping bags can go in the draw to win a Dandenong Market voucher.

Head home, inspired to take action with simple tips and free giveaways after a fun and exciting day.

The event will also feature:

• Complimentary face painting and children’s activities
• Sustainable product stalls
• Take-home veggie plantings
• Experts on hand including sustainability specialists and Council’s environmental staff
