Held annually, the festival of lights returns this November to Dandenong Market. This highly anticipated event celebrates the victory of good over evil and signals the beginning of a new year.

What’s Diwali without some of the best Indian street food?

For true biryani connoisseurs, Café Marketto is your destination – home to one of Melbourne’s best! Venture through the Market and discover the flavours of North India at DownTown Punjab and stop by Saccha Sugar Cane Juice Bar for a refreshing cup of sugarcane juice!

But there’s more! The Terrace will be bustling with food trucks serving up delectable Diwali fare while rocking to high energy beats with our live DJ. From flaming skewers to Indian BBQ – the famous tandoor-style grill and artisanal fusion desserts, this event is an ode to street food classics.

Entertainment for the Whole Family

Complimenting the bold flavours will be a lively and diverse entertainment schedule. Alongside the classic, high-energy Bollywood dancing we’ll present a traditional Bharatanatyam performance thanks to Noopur’s Art Academy. Moving towards the North, experience Punjabi culture with SJ Crew’s Bhangra showcase and be mesmerised by Kathakali – a classical dance form from Kerala known for its elaborate costumes, dramatic facial expressions, and intricate storytelling.
