Meet Kim, a Vietnamese-Australian who specialises in a huge variety of cacti, adorable succulents and hanging indoor and outdoor plants.

Kim sources all of her goods locally with the majority of her stock coming from a nursery on Heatherton Road. Safe to say shopping at Prickly Lil Succas is good for your bank balance and your environmental balance.

Having only owned Prickly Lil Succas for one year, Kim has much more on her plate than that of an average small business owner. After a normal Market day, Kim packs away her stock and heads home to look after her four children and once they head to bed, Kim takes English lessons to better her business. We admire her time management and dedication to her career!

Kim loves succulents, often referring to them as “little baby” plants which she enjoys caring for before they are purchased. It’s always a win for Kim when loyal customers return thrilled with their own baby plant.

Owning a small business is a dream come true for Kim. Having been a stay at home mum for more than 20 years, working at Dandenong Market gives her the opportunity to get out of the house, meet people and continue learning English.

Prickly Lil Succas is open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 8am and ever Sunday from 9am.
