Owner Ali, who immigrated from Afghanistan, recently purchased the business from its previous owner in 2020. He eventually renamed the stall and began to make this small business his own.

Ali sources all of his fresh produce from a local wholesaler in Epping who specialise in high-quality fruit and veggies. This savvy businessman heads out from 3:30am, often on a Market day morning to hand-select the most delicious produce for his special customers.

Ali’s favourite part about working at Dandenong Market is being able to socialise with his staff and customers.

“Time flies when you’re socialising,” he said.
