Come and celebrate what Dandenong Market is renowned for – great authentic street food and entertainment from around the world - consider yourself invited.
World Fare at Night is back in 2024. Running over three Thursday nights in January, the market will host over 35 food trucks & hawker stalls, plus live entertainment from around the world.
We’ll have food stalls piled high with freshly-cooked hawker options from every cuisine: south east Asian street food, Colombian Polynesian, European, Tibetan and African to name a few, along with sweet treats & desserts there’s something for everyone. Pay as you go with dishes starting from under $6 or tuck into a share plate with friends. Your thirst will also be satisfied with pop up’s serving delicious cocktails, Prosecco & Bubble Tea along with cold brews & wine from The Tavern.
Celebrate the amazing patchwork of nationalities contributing to our incredible culinary scene. We’re adding to the flavour mix with live music, street theatre, cultural performances, boutique stalls, all under bright festival lights. And most importantly – you!
Each night will have a different offer, as diverse as Dandenong Market itself. With colourful, inclusive, and fabulous free live entertainment every night. The entertainment features performances from many different nationalities including African dance (Soukous), Japanese Pop, Bollywood & even Scottish Highland Dancing to name a few, with the Afghan born Nasheet Brother’s bringing their high energy performance on the last night. There will also be giant games for kids young and old.

Dandenong Market WORLD FARE @ Night 2024 will be held at the Market, corner of Cleeland and Clow Streets Dandenong. The exact location is in the designated event area of The Terrace and Market Square.

WORLD FARE @ Night is running across the three Thursday nights of January 2024.
Night one: January 11, 2024, from 5:00pm-9:30pm
Night two: January 18, 2024, from 5:00pm-9:30pm

What food and entertainment will be available?
Dandenong Market WORLD FARE @ Night 2024 is the South East’s largest, FREE, family friendly event – three Thursday nights across the month of January full of exotic sights, flavours and aromas from authentic cuisine and cultural performances.
With an ample amount of exclusive WORLD FARE @ Night food trucks on the Terrace, immerse yourself in the succulent savories of tacos and quesadillas or Cambodian skewers and BBQ, to Spanish paella and seafood. Let’s not forget dessert, with sweet servings of fried ice cream and snow cones, donuts dusted with 12 different toppings, and oh-so delicious bubble tea!
AND with more than 150 dishes to choose from our Market traders in Market Square, you will be spoilt for choice. Get the most delicious and crunchiest falafels from King of Falafel, taste generations of dumpling love at SanSan’s Dumpling House and wash it down with Kashmiri chai warm enough to melt anyone’s heart – courtesy of Kadak Chai.
World Fare @ Night 2024 isn’t just to stuff yourself silly. Enjoy your authentic cuisines alongside a line-up of colourful and sensational cultural performers. These eye-catching entertainers will leave you feeling like you’ve travelled abroad. We’re adding to the flavour mix with live music, pop up wine bars, a Henna artist, street theatre, cultural performances, boutique stalls, all under bright festival lights. Each night will have a different offer, as diverse as Dandenong Market itself - with every week more captivating and different from the next – you’ll be dancing along into a different part of the world each Thursday night!
How will I see the entertainment?
An event schedule will be posted on the website and our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram). Everyone has a chance to watch everyone we’ve included in our dynamic entertainment schedule. Performances throughout the Market will be on a rotating schedule, so you won’t miss out.
Is the venue licensed?
WORLD FARE @ Night is a licensed event which will be selling both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Icy cold local brews from Brick Lane Brewing Co., The Tavern, Running Bull, Sugar Rims and chilled wines will satisfy your summer thirst. However, in saying this, BYO is NOT permitted. Alcohol is also not permitted beyond the Terrace and Market Square boundaries.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
Yes! The Market has vegan, vegetarian, low-gluten, and halal options. There’s something for everyone.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes, it is! There’s something for the whole family – and it’s FREE!
How much is entry? How do I buy a ticket?
Let us repeat - Dandenong Market WORLD FARE @ Night is non-ticketed, there are no designated seating times and is completely FREE to attend. We welcome all visitors to join the designated event area.

What should I bring?
Bring your dancing shoes – and prepare yourself for FUN! Almost everything else you need will be provided at Dandenong Market WORLD FARE @ Night 2024 including seating, food, and drinks. However, other than yourselves, and your favourite foodie friends, we suggest also bring:
What if I start to feel unwell during the event? Is First Aid available?
If you need any medical assistance during the event, please locate security, or an event staff member and we can assist as best we can. There will be an information tent/first aid tent available for such instances.
Which items are prohibited?
Security will confiscate any prohibited items or deny entry to anyone carrying a prohibited item.
Dandenong Market does not take any responsibility for confiscated items.
Where can I park?
FREE parking is available at any of Dandenong Market’s carparks during Dandenong Market WORLD FARE @ Night 2024.
Parking will be available when entering from King St, Sturt St and Clow St. Parking on The Terrace will not be available.
