Known for supplying a fantastic range of sunglasses at great prices, meet Michael Placidi of Sun Shack Eyewear and discover how he came to trade at Dandenong Market.
Michael joined Dandenong Market in 2008 as he was looking for a new experience after working extremely hard all of his life from a very young age. Born in a small town in the centre of Italy, Michael was the youngest son of four children. After working in many places including Canada, the Bahamas, Egypt and England, Michael moved to Australia in 1998 with his lovely wife to start a family.
Originally working in the food industry for many years, having worked in high-end restaurants and owning his own shops Michael wanted to try something more relaxed.
Michael joined the market originally as a hot food vendor selling things such as hot dogs and chips but eventually chose to move on and sell sunglasses to try something new.
The decision to join Dandenong Market was because Michael wanted more time to spend with his family instead of always working. His Sun shack business allows Michael to spend more time with his two daughters as well as being able to work in a great environment.
What Michael loves most about his Dandenong Market Sunglass stall is being able to work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the market. Michael says everyone always has a smile on their faces and after many years he has created great friendships with other traders and customers.
Sun Shack Eyewear is a family business and Michael’s two daughters regularly help out on weekends.
Michael can guarantee that his sunglasses are of the best quality. They are all to Australian standards and all sunglasses offer 100% UV protection, that way you can be sure you stay protected from the sun.
All Sun Shack Eyewear products come from a very reliable Australian supplier that also supply big brand stores and pharmacies around the whole country.
