The Cooks' Tour at Dandenong Market
The Cooks’ Tour invites food enthusiasts to learn about the unique products and ingredients from the Market. Learn about produce and ingredients, how to prepare and store them and gain tips from those who have used them their whole lives – the traders!
On this 3.5 hour tour, you will visit select traders for unique ingredients and learn tips and tricks from the experts followed by a live cooking demonstration. Conclude the experience by enjoying the meals created. Tickets to the Cooks’ Tour are $120 (inclusive of GST) and run with a maximum of 10 people.
All Cooks’ Tour participants receive free all-day parking included with their ticket plus a goodie bag to take home (details below).

Parking: A parking ticket will be included in the tour price. Please arrive at the Management Office 15-20 minutes early to obtain your parking ticket. You must park on the lowest level of the multi-story car park. See more frequently asked questions.

Mini Grazing Board
Discover deli produce like cheese and smallgoods alongside market goodies such as falafel, gozleme, dips, and spices. Learn to create a visually appealing spread that celebrates the market’s culinary diversity, with tips on flavour pairing and regional representation.
Thai Beef Salad
Served with seasonal veggies like green mango or papaya and Asian herbs. Master two basic Thai sauces and how to adapt them for seafood and meats, while exploring seasonal Asian veggies, herbs, and spices.
Ricotta & Spinach Gnocchi
Served with burnt butter and sage. Learn to make pasta using simple market ingredients, exploring dairy and cheeses like ricotta and parmesan.
Belgium-Style Mussels
Steamed with onions, celery, white wine, and butter, seasoned with fresh herbs. Learn to select, clean, and cook mussels, understanding their seasonality while diving into the market’s fresh seafood stalls.
Silky Tofu Pudding
Topped with ginger syrup, seasonal berries, and coconut flakes. Discover the versatility of silken tofu in sweet and savoury dishes, and how to incorporate it with spices for delicious results.
Cancellation Policy: Bookings may be modified or refunded up to 7 days prior to the tour. After this period, changes and refunds are not possible.
