Black Friday sales are taking off in Australia and this year we're even more excited to support small business retail precincts. COVID-19 restrictions have seen many of our non-food traders forced to close for more than half of 2020 which is what makes supporting these traders so important.
Many of the best Black Friday deals can be found just about anywhere you look online but if you are looking to go into a physical store and maximise your shopping potential, Dandenong Market is the place to be. Already known as a bargain mecca, Market traders are offering an insane variety creating some crazy doorbuster offers over the entire weekend.
This is not a clearance sale. Although we are on sale all year round, with fabulous offers, our Black Friday Weekend sales event will see genuine discounts up to 40% off already fabulous prices. This represents less than wholesale prices in the Bazaar which is already a treasure trove of hidden gems.
If you’re a savvy shopper you won’t be able to help yourself, impulsively buying to keep for yourself as well as stock up for Christmas. Every time you walk through the Bazaar, you see something new and at a fabulous price. Dandenong Market is a one-stop shop under one roof for everything on your Christmas wish list. The Black Friday Weekend Sale will be more competitive than many of the online offers and certainly better value than the larger retailers.

Don’t forget too that when you shop local you’re supporting small businesses that nurture our community.
The ultimate experts, always offering great deals and sharing insider secrets.
Are you a bargain hunter or a savvy shopper? Whatever your calling, we have a fabulous three-day weekend of savings lined up for you. The now famous and ever-popular Black Friday is coming to Dandenong Market from Friday 22 November to Sunday 29 November and it’s perfect timing to get prepared for all your Christmas shopping. The whole family is catered for, with many traders jumping on board to bring you some of the best door-busting deals to get those items checked off your Christmas wish list – well before the mad rush. Follow this guide for the best ways to ensure sale success!
Think about what you need to purchase for Christmas or for yourself and make a list. If you arrive with a clear idea of who you need to buy for or what you need yourself, you will be less overwhelmed when making purchases. This makes shopping a breeze and far more enjoyable than arriving not knowing where to begin.
Budget according to your list – but leave space for impulse buys you come across. Having a clear idea of how much you wish to spend and set aside a small portion for those “I didn’t realise I needed this until now” moments, means you can avoid overspending.
There are trader deals all weekend, ranging from up to 50% off across the whole store to extraordinary one-off deals just for the sale. Do your research and prioritise what you need to purchase so you avoid the disappointment of finding items sold out.
For a weekend dedicated to shopping, you have to remember to have food on your brain too. And there is no better place for delicious, mouth-watering food than Dandenong Market.
Most of our traders have EFTPOS but we have six ATMs at the Market if you need cash. The nearest ATM to the Bazaar is between the restrooms and Café Marketto.
With more than 1000 parking spaces, including ample undercover spots, there is plenty of parking at Dandenong Market. The car park can be accessed from Clow Street or King Street.
Arrive with your own bags. Free boxes and two sizes of eco-friendly reusable bags are available from the Market Management office if you buy more than you bargained for.
