PiqNiq Hut

Indulge your tastebuds with an authentic selection of Sri Lankan Street foods such as Devilled Chicken, Street Curry Combo, Hoppers (bowl shaped pancakes), Lamprais and Kothu Roti which is cooked on a bbq grill while you wait.

Owner and chef Vijay Sivaraj is well known for Drums Café at Queen Victoria Market, starting there in 1996. Due to its huge popularity and joining with well-known Sri Lankan chef Nirosh, Vijay decided to start Sri Lankan street food at the night markets and food festivals. Following its huge success, Vijay has joined us at Dandenong Market.

The huge demand for specialty Kotthu roti, devilled chicken, butter chicken and goat curry is not only driven by their authentic, delicious flavours but they are cooked in front of the customers which they really enjoy including watching exactly what goes to their food.

Nirosh has hired his best friend and well-known Sri Lankan Chef Palitha Jayasinghe to operate PiqNiq hut.
