Beef ribs with potato salad


Mouth watering, delicious ribs meat lovers will adore!

Serves 4 - 6

Ingredients

1kg beef ribs
100ml sweet soy sauce
100ml dark soy
3 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons garlic & ginger paste
1/3 cup xaio-xing, Chinese cooking wine
2 tablespoons oyster sauce

3 desiree potatoes, diced
1 finely sliced red onion
3 spring onions finely sliced
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
2 tablespoons yoghurt
2 tablespoons homemade mayonnaise
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
Salt & pepper


  • Step 1

    Put the beef ribs in a large bowl and marinate with all the sauces, coating well.

  • Step 2

    Place in a large oven tray and cover with aluminium foil and cook in preheated oven for 3-4 hours, or until the meat starts to fall off the bone.

  • Step 3

    In a large pot boil the diced potatoes in a little salt until just tender.

  • Step 4

    In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the yoghurt, sliced onion, parsley, spring onions and vinegar until well combined.

  • Step 5

    Mix through the diced potatoes and season with salt & pepper.

  • Step 6

    To serve, place the ribs on a large plate, put on a large spoon of potato salad, garnish with some sliced spring onion.
