The Market is the centre of community life, bringing together 150 different nationalities under one roof. It’s here you will find an amazing variety of fresh local produce, fruits and vegetables, spices, rices, lentils, beans and nuts. Dandenong Market is a haven for bargain hunters, a utopia for treasure seekers and paradise for food lovers of any description. Dandenong Market is a wonderful one-stop destination for all your shopping needs, with everything you need.

Dandenong Market features five main areas to explore and discover, find out about them below.

Fruit & Veg

Dandenong Market has 16 fruit and veggie traders located in our Fruit and Veg area. Here you can find amazing bargains and hard-to-find fresh ingredients. Fruit and Veg is the heart of Dandenong Market and one of our largest drawcards: our prices and range are legendary - fresh, local and organic, seasonal and exotic, we have the best of everything.

Here in the Fruit and Veg area you'll find Dandenong Market's longest continually running stall: Luppino Fresh was established 54 years ago by Danny Luppino (pictured above) when he was 18. Another long-term Dandenong Market trader is Alex and Nicole Alexopoulos from Alexander Produce. Alex is a second-generation fruiterer, taking over the business from his father.

Dandenong Market is about new stories as well as old histories: S&G Fresh is one of our newer fruit and veg traders, set up by Abdul in 2013. Abdul immigrated to Australia in 2007. Upon arrival in Australia, Abdul worked in wholesale markets until he gained enough experience to manage his own business here at the Market.

Meat, Fish & Deli Hall

The Meat, Fish and Deli Hall features a wide range of food traders who will inspire - our two seafood traders, three butchers and one chicken shop will make you want to get that BBQ fired up, or experiment with a new healthy recipe that the kids will love. In the Meat, Fish and Deli Hall, you will also find three bakeries, two delis, a spice specialist and a honey specialist who produces honey from beehives located across Victoria.

In the Meat, Fish and Deli, you'll likely hear Rhonda Tannous who bake traditional Lebanese pizza and pastries at Why Not? Wooden Bakery. One of our loudest and proudest Market traders, Rhonda hand makes her pizzas and pastries on-premises,  and while you wait.

A must-experience Market trader is Sam's Spice and Grocery, the go-to place for cooks and food lovers to find all those hard-to-find spices and grocery items.

Another legendary Meat, Fish & Deli trader is Schwarze Seafoods, who have been serving Dandenong Market customers the freshest and best-value seafood since 1930. Dennis Schwarze is a third generation trader who personally handpicks the highest quality seafood from the wholesale market each market day.

The Pantry

The Pantry is Dandenong Market’s haven of delights and temptations, including sensational coffee, exotic nuts, sumptuous chocolates, hand-made cakes and fresh bakery goods. It’s the ultimate destination for satisfying that sweet tooth, sourcing unique delicacies and buying affordable indulgences.

Visit Melina's Bakery and Larder to stock up on mouth-watering hand-made cakes and treats including melting moments or stop by Chocolate Passion to torment yourself over which delicious imported choccies you should indulge in (the answer: all of them).

The Pantry also features popular varied and delicious ready-to-eat food offerings, from The Netherlands to Vietnam.
